The Turkey Book
What do you get if you "Gobble" instead of Google? In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, I thought it was the perfect time to give you my combined copy of the "The Turkey Book". Designed to assist medical students on their clinical rotations the "Turkey Book", as it is called, is a wonderful compilation prepared by the UW chapter of AOA. It includes key information and quick reference materials, such as commonly used formulas and answers to common pimp topics. It is a valuable resource that will greatly assist Physician Assistant students during clinical rotations as well. This year, the AOA membershave created a digital version of theTurkey Bookwhich is available on their website. I have compiled all 146 pages here and assembled it as a single, combineddownloadable PDF(you can see more below). The Turkey Book This manual is a compilation of helpful hints, high-yield facts, and introductions to many clinical topics that you will encounter in your clinical years of medical education. Use it as a starting point and supplement with other more exhaustive references as needed. This is your time to learn from your team and from your patients and to learn to enjoy medicine. Work hard, eat, sleep, enjoy yourself, and remember that you are not alone.
